Post your project once and vetted contractors bid on it, on the same terms, so you can compare them side by side. Contractors pay for this, not you.
Not sure what to ask for? Scope and Solution Design plans it for you, and planned projects get better, faster bids.
Every contractor fills in the same form: total price, what is included, when they can start, how long it takes, warranty and materials. Bids show up as they arrive, exactly as submitted. We do not rank them or push a favorite. Your rebate estimate sits next to each one, so you can see roughly what you would pay after it comes in.
Sample data. Bids are shown as submitted. The rebate is paid to you by the program, not taken off the bid.
Start with your address. We already know your lot, roof and paved areas. You tell us the upgrade, add a few photos and describe what you want. Prefer not to guess? Scope and Solution Design measures and plans it for you.
A Rainplanner reviews it, writes it up with your name and address hidden, and posts it to contractors who do this exact work in your area.
Contractors bid on the same form. You see each bid as it arrives, ask anything in chat without giving your name, and nobody calls you or comes to your house.
Pick a bid. You are introduced, you set up one visit in the app, the contractor confirms or adjusts the price, and the two of you sign your agreement. The contract is between you and them.
You can post a project you describe yourself. Or let us plan it: Scope and Solution Design is $150 with your Rebate Claim, or $100 on its own if your address has no rebate. Your project then goes out already measured, planned to the rebate rules, and with a fair price range attached.

Rainplan is national. Contractors join by the areas and upgrades they serve, so how many bid on your project depends on who is active near you. Some areas have a lot of contractors today, others are still filling in. Either way, posting costs you nothing and the plan is yours to keep.

Nothing. Contractors pay Rainplan when they win a project through the network. You never see that fee and it is never added to your bid. If you also want us to file your rebate, that is the separate Rebate Claim, with its own flat fee.
Not until you pick a bid. Before that, contractors see the project and the measurements, and they can answer your questions in chat. Your name, address and phone stay hidden.
Yes. Every contractor gives us their business details, license and insurance, and is approved before they can see projects. They bid only on the kinds of work and areas they have told us they cover.
Bids arrive on the same form, so you compare like with like. If you started with Scope and Solution Design, your incentive file tells you what the job should cost, which makes a high or low bid obvious. Either way, you can ask every contractor what is behind their number.
No. The bid is the full price of the job. The rebate is paid to you by the program, it is always "up to" and depends on approval, and we show it next to each bid so you can see roughly where you land.
Picking a bid is not a commitment. It introduces you and the contractor and lets you schedule a visit in the app. After the visit the contractor confirms or adjusts their price. If you want to go ahead, you both sign your agreement in the app. That contract is between you and the contractor.
You see the new number before anything is signed, and you decide. Picking a bid does not lock you in.
Yes, for the rebate. Provider Match is for owners who want bids; if you have your builder, the Rebate Claim files your rebate and gives your contractor the program's rules.
We tell you. Bids depend on which contractors are active near you, and we would rather say so than leave you waiting. The plan is yours to keep: use it with your own contractor, and we keep recruiting for your area.
Your address first, then a short form we review. Or have us plan it for you. Either way, bids come to you, your details stay private, and you pay nothing.
